Leap Studio is the rhythmic gymnastics studio Son Yeon-jae founded in Seoul, after two Olympics and an Asian Games gold. By 2020 the Korean payments problem was already solved elsewhere in this list — NHN KCP, KakaoTalk order notifications, Korea for WooCommerce — so they went in here as known pieces, not new work. What made this build different was who was booking.

A class has a fixed number of spots, and when a new batch opens it is not a general crowd arriving. It is her fans, all at once, on the same page, in the same second. An ordinary WooCommerce install does not survive that kind of load. Object Cache Pro, WP Rocket and media offloaded to S3 all earn their place for the same reason: staying up through the few minutes a week that actually matter.

Underneath, WooCommerce Appointments runs the classes themselves — instructors, apparatus, one-off workshops alongside the regular timetable. But the plugin thinks in one calendar per product. Pulling every instructor's schedule into a single view the studio could actually run from, instead of a separate booking page per class, was most of the real work.

Design was told to stay out of the way. Someone racing to catch a slot before it fills is not there to admire the site. Every extra screen between wanting a class and a confirmed booking is a place to lose the booking. Ongoing since September 2020.
