Korea Maritime & Ocean University

Korea Maritime & Ocean University is a national university in Busan that teaches the sea — navigation, marine engineering, ocean science — and runs its own training ship. Like every institution that size, it sends a newsletter, and someone has to turn the design into something that actually survives an inbox.

That is a smaller job than it sounds, and a more annoying one than it looks. An email is not a web page. Layout goes back to tables because Outlook still renders with Word. Styles have to be inline because email clients strip out the head. Images are assumed blocked. The whole thing has to hold up from a desktop client to a phone. A design that looks fine in a browser often arrives broken in half the inboxes it lands in.

Our part was that work and nothing else: the supplied design turned into email-safe HTML, tested across clients, handed to the university's own team to send. Done alongside IT Concept, who brought us in.
