Healy members earn rewards, and a reward is often a physical device. That rules out the usual answer of a discount code: claiming has to produce a real WooCommerce order, with a shipping address, a serial number recorded against the hardware, and a warranty that starts on the right date.
So the plugin makes products claimable rather than discounted. Products kept private in the catalogue can still be bought through a claim, product bundles can be claimed as a unit, hardware picks up its shipping details and its serial number, and the month a member qualified is written into the order so the finance side can reconcile against it later.
It shipped in February 2024 as Healy Earnings and was renamed Rewards two months in, which is a small thing that says something true: the name in the code was the internal accounting word, not the word a member reads. Since then it has taken the same maintenance as everything else on the platform — bundle support, order storage moved to WooCommerce's high-performance tables, a warranty condition on what can be claimed.
Shared work rather than sole authorship. This one is built with Healy's platform team, and the entry is here for what was contributed to it, not to claim the whole plugin.
